An update from our CEO.

I wanted to take the time to thank all our players for the support since we launched last year. We have been blown away by the enthusiasm for padel and the amazing community that has been created around the club here in Cheshire. With the sun now shining, this only enhances our padel community even further and we are looking forward to a busy Summer period.

With such a big uptake for the sport, we are naturally working hard to increase our court numbers, to get more players on court and playing padel across the region. With demand being so high, a lot of people ask me about our future expansion. I appreciate that our courts are in great demand and I would like to give you some reassurance that we will be adding capacity at the club, as well as further afield, at the earliest opportunity.

As a lot of you know already, we are expanding our club at Wilmslow by adding 4 fully covered courts, which will be a fantastic enhancement to our facilities. This means that not only will we double the court numbers, but we will also add covered courts to enhance your padel playing experience all year round. We are in the process of finalising our construction plans and we will communicate a start date as soon as possible.

In addition, you may already know that we have been very focussed on acquiring more sites to establish more clubs, with an aim of creating a network of padel clubs here in the North West and across the UK. Once again, we have made significant progress in acquiring sites and we hope to share some very exciting news and details with you very soon.

Given that courts are in high demand, we wanted to respond to some of the regular queries that we get and confirm how courts are currently booked. Our courts are bookable up to 18 days in advance now and they become available on the hour 18 days ahead. Utilising the ‘match’ function in Playtomic is a challenge at present because 3 paid players are required before the court books, so we always advise booking a court, as opposed to the match feature, to ensure your court booking is secured.

Our club sessions are a great way to get a game without having to book a court. Those activities are generally added to the schedule on Mondays, so keep an eye out in the activities section of Playtomic, for spaces becoming available. In addition, we are taking actions to ensure court availability is maximised and that all players have a fair opportunity to book a court. Naturally as our court numbers increase, this will create more availability to get a court and play more often and we are working very hard to do this quickly.  

Our Padel Cubs programme is going from strength to strength and we have fantastic feedback from our cubs and their parents. We still have spaces for the rest of the course starting after half term. To book on your children click here.

This Summer we are also investing in enhancing the amenities around the current outdoor courts. Working with Lux Sol, we will be installing more high-quality shaded areas around our courts, so you have somewhere to relax out of the sun before or after your games. In addition, working with local beer company Bach 95, we will be adding draught beer to the club, as well as adding a wider Summer drinks selection.
